Business is booming. A contradictory statement? Not for Gandolfo’s New York Delicatessen. The popular deli franchise, which has seen steady expansion in past years, has upped the ante and will open its 45th deli by the end of May. It is only the tip of the iceberg for plans that include opening the 500th location by 2020. As of April 1, the deli chain had opened restaurants in Winter Garden, Florida; Holland, Michigan (the first Gandolfo’s locations in both Florida and Michigan); and Cedar City, Utah. More openings are lined up for 2009 with no signs of slowing down. Even as many other businesses are closing their doors or halting expansion and investment, Gandolfo’s faith in their concept and franchisees has them looking forward with positivity and a tradition of success.
