The newest deli in Mission Viejo will soon serve up sandwich classics dressed up in a variety of ways.

Gandolfo’s New York Deli at Via Fabricante and Alicia Parkway is set to open for business on May 29.  It’s the first Orange County location for the Utah-based franchise.

Each sandwich, named after a New York landmark, is loaded up with a combination of fixings.

Pick from turkey, ham, chicken, roast beef, or vegetarian options.  Then pick your bread: a New York deli style hero roll, Kaiser roll, rye, sourdough or wheat.

Nathan’s Hot Dogs, a soup of the day, chips, and cookies are also on the menu.

In the morning, the deli will offer breakfast sandwiches and bagels.

The eatery is kid-friendly-a 4-inch ham sandwich with chips and a medium soda is $3.50.

The Mission Viejo eatery is owned by sisters Elizabeth Marin, 50, of Laguna Niguel and Yami Marin, 46, of Brea.

The deli will offer meats for purchase by the pound and gourmet catering services.

A meal ranges from $7 to $9 for a salad and a sandwich.

Hours: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday

Address: 23981 Alicia Parkway, Mission Viejo

Phone: 949-581-3354
